30 Welfare Projects Completed In Herat Province

At a sum of more than AFN 58,500,000 funded by National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) 30 welfare projects have been completed in western Herat province of Afghanistan .
According to NSP Provincial Manager in Herat province, these development projects include the construction of community centers, protection walls, schools, digging of water wells with installing hand pumps, extension of drinking water networks and graveling of rural roads that have been implemented in different parts of Gozara and Zandajan districts of the province.
Approximately, 7414 families in various communities have gained access to basic human needs upon completion of these projects.
Since its inception in Herat province, NSP has able to execute 4645 welfare projects at a sum of AFG 6,000,000,000 in different sectors including transport, water and sanitation, irrigation, power, livelihoods and education in the province.
